A very stimulating and a very enjoyable course which I would recommend to anyone. This course gave me an insight and confidence. I'm now working full-time as a designer.
A brilliant course!
Heather Langton, Birmingham.
I found this course hard going because I was working long hours and had no chance to gain the recommended practical experience. However, my tutor support was fantastic and ensured I finished this course despite my working hours and an operation.
I would recommend it to anyone wishing to develop their understanding to the next level, although I wish I had had more experience in a horticultural job beforehand (I was working in a different industry). Despite my lack of experience I passed my Level 3 exams. If I can do it anyone can.
Dean Simpson, Edinburgh.
I would like to encourage anyone who is thinking about doing this course to go for it. I started the course because I wanted to know more about how to support my daughters as they grow up and I found it interesting and rewarding. The fact that I was new to the subject area did not stop me from getting good marks in the assignments and passing the course. So if you are interested in this course I would recommend that you go for it. The work load was manageable too.
Susan Smith, Leeds.
This was my first time studying since I left school and I really enjoyed it. I took the course just to get my brain working again but it's opened up a whole new career for me. I'm now working with a landscape gardening firm and plan on going on to student for a Garden Design Diploma. My tutor was really supportive which was just what I needed. I would really recommend this course.
Jacqui Peel, Stockport.
After not studying since leaving school, I found the thought of studying with Learning Curve extremely daunting. I needn't have worried. I have always had an interest in Interior Design and thought it was about time to try and do a course that would enable me to become an Interior Designer.
This course breaks you in gently, and gives you time to absorb all of the basics before moving on to more advanced areas. By the time I finished the course I'd surprised myself at the quality of work I was producing!
I would happily recommend this course to others. My only advice would be to ensure you set enough time aside for the practical work, which is quite time-consuming.
Faye Anderson, Cambridge
I would recommend this course to anyone who has not studied for a long time. With the support and encouragement of my tutor, the assignments built up my knowledge slowly.
This course helped me to find my first job in a primary school and I am now looking forward to starting an NVQ course at my local college.
Ellie Young, Richmond.
Really good course. Ideal place to start if you are new to the world of horticulture. Tutor was very helpful and encouraging. Would recommend this course to anyone who has not studied for a long time and also to those who would like to work in horticulture.
Pete Moore, Hull.
I found this course involving and constructive. It gave me the chance to develop my own copywriting skills to the extent that I now do this full-time. My boss, who sponsored me for the course, is chuffed with the results too. My tutor was supportive and knew her stuff. Her constructive advice, which went far beyond the course assignments as she also helped me on a couple of work projects, ensured I progressed quickly.
Felicity Coombes, Croydon.
This was a good short course - clear, interesting and easily done in very little time. My tutor was both helpful and encouraging and there was no feeling of being talked down to or the talk going over my head. By the end of the course he had helped us to create a workable competitive intelligence strategy.
I have very little time for study so this was an ideal option. If this example is anything to go by these courses do just what the say, which is get to the nitty gritty without any of the fluff. They are ideal if you want a practical, working knowledge, and could also be a good foundation for those going on to further study.
In fact I was so impressed I've just signed up for another short course.
