Study topics include: childhood and human development; Freud; Jung; psychology, psychiatry, psychotherapy and counselling; theories of grief and loss; the impact of trauma, attachment theory. The course includes all study materials required, textbook, Six Key Approaches to Counselling and Therapy, and full tutorial support.
Students have up to three years to complete this course, allowing them to work through the modules at their own pace. On average, however, it takes students around 10 - 12 months to complete the course, based on 2 - 3 hours study time per week.
